Notes Newscopy: "The pistols believed used in San Francisco's historical Broderick-Terry duel are missing from the Wells Fargo Bank's history room here. Their disappearance was reported to police last Dec. 18. A quiet pawnshop check since then has failed to turn up a clue. The duelling set, in a wood case with 19 pieces of loading and cleaning equipment, was last known to be in a storage space between the history room at 420 Montgomery St. Apparently the bank first missed them in August, 1963. Before that, in February, 1963, it had reported the disappearance of seven other antique firearms, valued at $366.50. In the duel 105 years ago on the shores of Lake Merced, U. S. Senator David C. Broderick was fatally wounded by David S. Terry, California State Supreme Court Justice. There are other sets of pistols asserted to be the ones used."
