Notes Newscopy: "CHURCH OF THE WEEK--Philadelphian Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1359 Geary-st, is now engaged in a 'Soul Saving Campaign,' with nightly meetings scheduled for the next six weeks. Rev. J. E. Cox, pastor for the past nine years, is conducting the services. Built in 1896, it is known as 'The Church With The Stained Glass Auditorium.' It was occupied by a Lutheran congregation until taken over by the only Negro SDA congregation in San Francisco. The membership has gone from 64 to over 400 during Rev. Cox's nine years."
