Notes Newscopy: "Miss Marion Hall is all expectancy, while Marino Biagi tenders a heaping plate of savory spaghetti for her approval. Well she might, for New Joe's is famed far and wide for the Italian dishes they prepare. From her counter seat, Miss Hall can watch every preparation and all the ingredients that go into New Joe's cooking. Early and late, food-wise San Francisco flocks to this North Beach restaurant. For since 1928 its reputation for quality has grown and now it is definitely the place to go for lunch, dinner and late evening."
