Notes Newscopy: "The arches of Fillmore-st, famous since the 1915 Exposition, are going the way of many other steel and iron adornments. Removal of the arches was begun today by the Fillmore Merchants & Improvement Association, which is spending $1500 in a patriotic move to aid the steel salvage campaign. Workmen are shown here taking down the arch at McAllister and Fillmore-sts."
