The 'Miracle Mile' won first prize for its Christmas 'dress' in 1949 in the competition sponsored by the Retail Merchants Association of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. First prize - a huge gold cup - will be awarded representatives of the Mission District at a special Awards Dinner at the St. Francis Hotel January 11. Judge Theresa Meikle, chairman of this year's judging committee, and Mayor Elmer E. Robinson will present the awards." |
