Notes Newscopy: "More than 50,000 jammed the narrow streets of Chinatown last night to watch the parade honoring 4658, 'The Year of the Mouse.' As always, a highlight of the 12-block parade was the 100-foot long dragon which wriggled along Grant ave. to drive away evil spirits. The proceedings were reigned over by lovely Carole Ng, Miss Chinatown U. S. A. Carole and her lovely court almost missed the parade when officials forgot to warn them of its approach. But when the band music reached their hotel rooms, they dashed to their float and joined the show."
