Written on back: "PREVIEW---As Stuart Davis, Chairman of the Board, First Savings and Loan Associatin, looks on, State Senator Eugene MacAteer clips miniature ribbon in traditional ceremony preliminary to a twelve-day open house for First Savings' new San Francisco Regional Headquarters at One Stockton Street. After operating a branch on the site since December 2, 1959, First Savings acquired and remodeled the building at an investment of approximately million. construction innovations include a complete refacing of the exterior, acoustical ceilings, tile flooring, recessed lighting and complete painting and redecorating throughout. The forthcoming open house, beginning Monday, December 30, will feature a free exhibition of contemporary Bay Area art selected by Dennis Beall, curator, Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts. First Savings will purchase up to ,500 of paintings or sculpture judged best by a panel of experts including George Culler, director, San Francisco Museum of Art, Gurdon Woods.." |
