Notes |
Newscopy: "An argument between two women erupted into a grisly story of murder at 826 Ashbury St., a preposessing, unpretentious house (extreme left). Ronald Smith (left) whose apartment is above that of the landlady, Mrs. Jean Toman, and Robert Mossberger (right) told of a ferocious fight between Mrs. Toman and her now dead tenant, Elinor Kahn. 'It was the worse I've ever heard,' said Smith. Mossberger told of a note he received from Mrs. Toman, asking that he pay his rent at once (extreme right). With the discovery of Miss Kahn's body, hacked and stowed in two suitcases, an all-points alarm went out for Mrs. Toman. She was seized this afternoon.". |
