Notes On back: "INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS. From Southern Pacific News Bureau. NEW STREAMLINER FOR S.F.-CHICAGO RUN - The new 'City of San Francisco,' largest and most luxurious streamliner in the world, will be placed in service between San Francisco and Chicago January 8. Powered by a 5400-horsepower Diesel-electric locomotive, the super streamliner will be a 17-car train, capable of speeds up to 110 miles an hour. It will have accommodations for 222 passengers. To be operated jointly by Southern Pacific, Union Pacific and Chicago & North Western railroads, the new 'City of San Francisco' will feature many innovations, both in equipment and service. Photo shows: Stewardess-nurse using intercommunicating telephone aboard the new train."
