COMPLETED PIER 2; WITH PIERS 3, 4, 6 AND YERBA BUENA ISLAND IN BACKGROUND; SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND BAY BRIDGE. It is on Pier 2, in water just off Dock 24 at foot of Harrison St., that the first steel tower will be built 478 feet high. Steel for this, now in Oakland, to be barged across bay March 1."
