Notes Attached newsletter: " JAMES LICK'S TRAVELING CONCERT AND STAGE BAND--Under the direction of Marshall Smith, the James Lick Stage Band has performed off campus serveral times this year. In addition to their regular school performances, they have played at the Laurel heights Convalescent Home, James Denman Junior High School, and Sunshine School. They have also performed on the SFUSD radio station KALW's special Christmas program. During their remaining concert season, on may 7th they will be in the Latin-American Fiesta Parade through the Misssion District as part of the school's Cinco de Mayo project, and on May 12th will be performing at the Pacific Telephone Company's noon time concert series. Their popularity is due to the hard work of talented youg musicians at James Lick and the skill and devotion of their teacher, Marshall Smith.".
