It served many purposes, such as giving parents and other visitors, who had but a moment to spare, a brief glimpse of some of the things being done; affording ideas to the teachers of all of the groups; and, since they were always labeled with the names of the students who made them, the objects displayed tended to stimulate the children's pride in their work and in the school."
