Notes Caption: "WOODWORK--Needless to say, woodworking was highly interesting to girls as well as boys. Students were most eager to make things to send home and which to them possessed a practical value. Note the girl on the left who is sanding a pair of wooden beach shoes which she is making. Wood was difficult to obtain, because of its scarcity due to the War, and recourse was made to packing boxes, etc."
