On back: "WEST'S OLDEST AND LEADING ART SCHOOL TAKES HISTORIC STEP - The California School of Fine Arts, founded in 1874, announces the award of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, commencing fall term, 1953, for the first time in the 80 year history of the School. College curriculum offered by the School includes Painting, Sculpture, Commercial Art, Photography and professional training in every field of the creative arts. Located on Russian Hill in San Francisco the School contains, in addition to galleries, classrooms and laboratories, one of the finest art libraries in the west and a student operated cafeteria. It is adjacent to San Francisco Embarcadero, museums and downtown San Francisco." |
