Clark Beise, (right) president of the bank, presents the letter, with help from Dr. Harold Spears, Superintendent of Schools, to John Swett principal Robert Seymour during a student assembly last Tuesday (October 3). The student thrift program, 50 years old in San Francisco, now serves 4,727 schools all over California."
