Newscopy: "Eighty-five tenants of this seven-story apartment house at Turk and Larkin-sts were helped to safety by firemen yesterday after flames swept through the building and threatened to trap many of the residences in their smoke-filled apartments. There were only a few minor injuries in the $50,000 fire, which was fought by 130 firemen using 24 pieces of equipment."
