Notes Donor description: Ricardo, unknown, Chris. 200 year bicentennial of U.S. Ricardo was the Grand Marshall of the parade. The City of San Francisco selected Ricardo and he chose two other Filipino leaders to co-present with him.
This was during martial law in the Philippines and so there was an activist element during this parade. At the time, Josephine’s daughter was protesting against Martial Law in the Philippines.
