Newscopy: "17 TON CONCRETE PANEL GOES INTO PLACE--A 17-ton concrete panel is about to take its place as part of a wall structure of a 57,000 square foot pre-cast concrete warehouse and office building now under construction for Kortick Manufacturing Company at 5600 Third street. Special wheels on front of the crane prevent tipping over while the concrete wall panel is being maneuvered into place. Johnson & Mape Construction Company, Inc., general contractor, reported that 59 panels, 20 feet by 21 feet each, will be lifted and placed into position to form the walls of the structure. Including the new building, Kortick Manufacturing Company's San Francisco operations will encompass more than 140,000 square feet." |
