Notes	Newscopy: "One of the few Chinese institutions here inspired by the New World, rather than old-century tradition, today celebrates its golden anniversary. Organized in October, 1911, Chinatown's cherished Cathay Band was patterned after the famed, Columbia Park Boys Band, which had just returned from a triumphal tour abroad."
