Newscopy: "CUT THE PLAZA?-- Here's a diagram, showing the plan advanced to the Public Utilities Commission yesterday to cut through Civic Center Plaza to route a bus line down Fulton-st, to conform with an early one-way street plan which would make McAllister-st a one-way street outbound as far as Larkin-st, and Hayes one-way outbound to Gough. The latest suggested plan calls for the 21 trolley bus line, which now runs on Hayes to Market, to turn left at Laguna, go down Grove, turn left on Polk in front of City Hall and then turn right on the new street splitting Civic Center. The one-way plan, including McAllister, was proposed earlier, but division of the plaza was latest outgrowth." |
