Notes Newscopy: "San Francisco's new golf course - a nine-hole course off the main drive in Golden Gate Park - was officially opened today by Mayor Elmer E. Robinson, shown taking a healthy swing, while Louis Sutter, president of the Recreation-Park Commission, acts as caddy. The Mayor missed the ball, but singer Beatrice Kay yelled 'Fore!' anyway. The new course has a total yardage of 1525 yards and a clubhouse is under construction."
