Notes Newscopy: "MARIO SAVIO - Student sit-in leader. Mario Savio has a blunt explanation for the noisy 'free speech' rebellion at the University of California: 'Myself.' Bright, brash, his speech as fiery as his red hair, the 21 year old U.C. junior has a revolutionary's conceit about his indispensability. 'Without me, it wouldn't be possible,' he says candidly. He harangues in a rapid-fire staccato, shrill at times. emotionally charged always. He's a slender 6-foot-1, sloping at the shoulders, clad usually in baggy slacks and a heavy jacket."
