Description Provides emergency and transitional shelter for homeless women. Some beds are designated for HIV positive women and other beds are designated for women with a dual diagnosis of substance addiction and a mental or emotional condition. Provides on-site psychiatric assessment and evaluation. Transitional shelter residents receive case management, medication monitoring, counseling (including substance abuse counseling), and support group counseling. Also offers a senior program that serves homeless women 55 years of age or older. Offers case management, group counseling, money management, exercise classes, gardening, and field trips.
Serves as an application agency for the San Francisco Shelter Plus Care Program which is a federally funded rental assistance program for homeless individuals and families. The program is administered by Human Services Agency (HSA). See individual program record for more information.
Eligibility Single women 18 years of age or older; homeless women 55 years of age or older for senior program.
Fee Emergency shelter is free; transitional shelter fees are based upon ability to pay.
