Description A 24-hour, year-round drop-in center which offers a wide variety of free services designed to help women and their families survive and thrive. Developed in 1999 by and for women who have struggled with addiction, violence, poverty and homelessness in the Tenderloin, the Oshun Center seeks to establish an oasis of health and self love, nurturing healing and building strength among women and their families, including male-to-female transgender women.
Services include: supportive and confidential counseling, including life skills counseling, substance abuse counseling, domestic violence counseling, crisis intervention; daily support groups with such themes as Recovery, Life Skills, Health and Wellness, Spirituality and Transgender Support; referrals into Detox and Recovery Programs; and intensive case management tailored to client’s self-determined goals in all areas of life skills, including housing services, parenting services, and support with job seeking services.
