| Description |
An opera company offering a fall/winter season and a summer season of productions, and free community events such as simulcasts and the annual Opera in the Park concert. Educational Programs in collaboration with San Francisco Opera Guild include Student Dress Rehearsals, In-school residencies, Sing a Story, Opera á la Carte, Creative Opera Workshop, Book to Bravo, training conservatories, Insight panels and Preview lectures, Brown Bag Opera, and Professional Development for teachers. The dress rehearsal program offers full-length opera presentations and provides teacher's guides and preview cds for classroom preparation; docents are available to discuss the opera. Sing a Story, Opera ̀ a la Carte and Creative Opera Workshop offer are in-school programs year round that combine audience and participation experiences. Brown Bag Opera offers young singers the opportunity to perform in outdoor concerts during lunch time. Residencies and teacher training workshops occur periodically throughout the school year and the training conservatories for children and teens are offered in the winter and summer seasons.
