Description Provides cultural, educational, recreational, and vocational services for youth and children in San Francisco. Asian Youth Prevention Services (AYPS) is part of a citywide network focusing on substance abuse prevention for adolescents. Japanese American Youth Services provides health and social services (including education, mental health, and substance abuse prevention and intervention). Promotes communication, social skills and leadership development as well as providing case management services. Some of these services were provided under Competence Through Transition (CTT), Integrated Services for Asian Youth (ISAY) and Asian Youth Substance Abuse Project (AYSAP).
Collaborative programs include: Safety Network Partnership provides a substance abuse prevention planning program; Mayor's Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP) provides job services and job training for youth; and Asian American Communities for Education (AACE) which provides academic counseling, information on careers, high school and college preparation, tutoring, and assistance with financial aid and admissions.
