| Description |
Provides a variety of services for residents of the Richmond District and the Asian-American community in San Francisco and the Bay Area. The city-funded Adult Outpatient Program provides counseling, case management and outreach services for adults and their families, especially persons with chronic mental illness and severe psychiatric disorders. The Day Treatment Program provides clinical services such as vocational rehabilitation, medication services and therapy. Co-sponsors the Bridge to Wellness program which provides outpatient treatment to persons with severe mental illness emphasizing the cultural needs of Asian-American clients. Provides bilingual and bicultural counseling for immigrants and refugees in the Richmond District. |

Sponsors the Richmond Counseling Center (RCC) which is a fee-for-service program that provides mental health services for individuals, couples, families and groups. The Asian Family Institute (AFI) is a fee-for-service counseling program which provides Asian bilingual and bicultural family counseling services. Provides clinical training opportunities for students in psychology, social work and counseling. Pursues cross-cultural research by RAMS staff and other centers. Provides tutoring services for youth. |

RAMS is a member of the Richmond District After School Collaborative (RDASC) and provides case workers for the RDASC after-school program. Serves as a host agency for Safety Network Partnership. Also is a member of NICOS Chinese Health Coalition. See separate records for information. |
