| Description |
Community-based, nonprofit organization that respects and meets the needs of the diverse and often ignored residents of San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Through non-judgmental outreach, education, testing, client advocacy and practical, direct services, Tenderloin Health aims to lessen the incidence of HIV infection, disease progression and homelessness in the Tenderloin using harm reduction philosophy and practice. Offers low-threshold basic needs services to engage clients into services; provides primary medical and urgent care; health promotion programs; social services; emergency, short-term and long-term housing and; behavioral health services. Tenderloin Health was formed by the merger of the Tenderloin AIDS Resource Center (TARC) and Continuum HIV Day Services. |
