| Description |
Provides a variety of services and prevention programs for individuals incarcerated by San Francisco City and County, and for their significant others. Services include AIDS prevention, health education, and hepatitis vaccines; early intervention services; voluntary testing for HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis C, and sexually transmitted diseases; HIV risk assessment and test disclosure counseling; emotional support; post-release follow-ups; drug counseling; referrals to other services; and program advice to other criminal justice systems nationwide. Serves as an AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) enrollment site. Services are provided at the San Francisco City and County jails. Also offers speakers bureau for HIV, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted disease prevention information. |
