| Description |
Provides public information and education about AIDS and HIV; educational retreats for women with HIV; and referrals to AIDS service organizations in the Bay Area (including support groups). Offers an onsite heterosexual HIV+ support group on the first and third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. Offers peer advocacy and support including assisting women in accessing services and accompanying them to medical appointments. |

WORLD publishes the "WORLD Newsletter" quarterly, written by and for women with HIV. Offers speakers on issues related to women and AIDS. Provides a meeting room for community organizations. Fees are negotiable. To make arrangements for speakers or the meeting room, contact Nena, 510-986-0340. |
