Description A diverse group of young people between 12 and 23 years of age who advise the Mayor and Board of Supervisors on issues related to children and youth. Also works to ensure that all youth use their voices to affect change in City government. Full Commission meets on the first and third Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, Room 416, unless of holiday, in which case it will meet on the following Tuesday.
Eligibility San Francisco resident and youth 12 to 23 years of age.
Application Call for an application. Applications are available during March and due mid-May. Decisions occur during the summer and Youth Commissioner terms begin roughly from August through July.
Transportation Muni (5 Fulton, 19 Polk, 21 Hayes, 47 Van Ness or 49 Van Ness-Mission) and BART/Muni Metro (Civic Center station).
