Description Provides legal representation and counseling specializing in the following areas: housing discrimination and landlord/tenant issues; employment rights; immigration, hate crimes, senior rights, police misconduct, voting rights, government benefits, and other civil rights issues. Offers legal clinics on various topics. Call for times and locations. Provides community education through pamphlets, workshops, presentations to schools and other institutions. Provides technical assistance to other agencies and their staffs.
Eligibility Must meet income guidelines.
Fee Varies according to service; based on ability to pay. The first consultation is free. All services are provided free to persons who are 60 or older living in San Francisco.
Application Call for appointments. Drop-ins are accepted in emergency situations.
Transportation Muni (Market Street lines) and BART/Muni Metro (Powell Street station).
