Description Provides English Empowerment Classes. Offers an Immigrant Women's Leadership Project, a support group for dealing with common concerns and developing community involvement. Provides referrals to agencies providing immigration, employment and environmental health and safety services. Provides a Workers Organizing Center for low-wage, multi-trade Chinese immigrant workers. Sponsors Chinese Power Against Tobacco, a youth group that organizes campaigns targeting the tobacco industry. Also sponsors the Chinatown Housing Justice Campaign that is a part of the Chinatown SRO Collaborative. Publishes the "Chinese Progressive Association" newsletter quarterly.
Eligibility Anyone.
Fee Membership dues are $20 per person per year. English Empowerment Classes are $20 for non-members and $15 for members.
