| Description |
Offers social services and emotional support to seniors and at-risk elders in cooperation with other agencies including San Francisco Office on the Aging. Provides free bi-monthly groceries for low-income seniors; gives frozen meals and microwaves, medical transportation, and in-home assistance to at-risk seniors, and respite for caregivers; serves congregate hot lunches Monday through Friday at noon, and offers presentations on aging issues, arts and crafts activities, day outings, table games, dancing, monthly birthday parties and holiday celebrations. |

Operates a gift boutique, Gifts on the Hill, 513 Cortland Ave., 10 a.m. to noon, and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (weekends by appointment) to help fund the Neighborhood Elder Support Team (NEST); NEST works to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs and concerns of frail and homebound elders by linking them with social services, neighborhood resources, and community volunteers. |
