Description A multicultural senior center which offers a wide variety of services. Provides regular and special recreational programs including: arts and crafts; bingo; exercise class; guest speakers; singing; line and ballroom dancing; sightseeing and day trips. Offers senior community-action groups, senior volunteer work opportunities, blood pressure screenings, health talks, and multilingual Bible studies.
Serves as a lunch site for seniors, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Recruits, trains and places volunteers to assist with the center's activities; sponsors senior development and a senior advocacy and leadership development program. Publishes a monthly newsletter for members.
Eligibility Age 55 years of age or older.
Fee None for most services. Meals: $1.50 suggested donation. Membership: $15; includes a monthly newsletter and trip sign-ups. Minimal fees for some special events.
