| Description |
Provides free access to medical and health information through a consumer health library. Library materials cover a variety of subjects including conventional medicine, complimentary medicine, alternative therapies, self care, first aid, physiology and anatomy, occupational health hazards, alcoholism, smoking, stress, mental health, acute and chronic diseases, cancer, AIDS, nutrition, fitness, sexuality, genetics, childbirth and infant care, aging, death, and animal health care. The Library collection consists of over 5,000 medical texts, consumer health books and journals. A current clipping file catalogs the latest information on medical research, treatment, and technological advances. |

Offers a special collection of children's books focusing on a child's view of illness, hospitalization and health awareness. Provides information world-wide by mail for a fee, including basic packets on selected topics and in-depth research on any medical diagnosis. Provides a guide and telephone referrals to national health agencies, local practitioners, clinics and self-help groups. Offers classes in wellness and other health-related topics. |
