| Description |
Dedicated to improving the quality of care and quality of life for long-term care residents in California. Assists consumers with pre-placement counseling; guidance with Medi-cal eligibility and estate recovery; resident rights complaints; and elder abuse issues. Lawyer Referral Service provides attorney and legal referrals to estate planning for long term care; elder abuse and neglect; and protective services. |

Also offers training, workshops, and conferences for social-work and legal professionals, social workers, and family members. Topics include Medi-Cal, organizing family councils, nursing home litigation, and elder abuse. CANHR is certified to offer continuing education credits to social workers and attorneys. |
