Description Provides legal assistance to low-income San Francisco residents. Assists with public benefits including CalWorks, SSI, County Adult Assistance Programs, Food Stamps, and with family law and domestic violence issues.
Assists with eviction defense and landlord and tenant relations. If the eviction is due to non-payment of rent, client must be prepared to deposit rent due. Provides referrals. The program is a member of the San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium.
The Community Health Advocacy Project, which is part of the statewide Health Consumer Alliance, assists with health access issues. The project provides education to low-income consumers on their rights and responsibilities to health care, and assistance to help ensure that consumers are receiving the health care they need.

Fee Free for services. Filing and other court fees may apply.
