| Description |
Operates a multipurpose center offering a variety of services and activities that are structured to meet the social, recreational and educational needs of Asian American women. Offers a "Survival English Class," which includes conversational English, American culture, and survival skills. Provides a Parent-Child Development Program offering structured pre-school activities for immigrant children; speech and mental health screening, assessment and treatment; and support groups for immigrant parents for developing parenting skills. A summer school provides learning, socialization and English tutoring for low-to moderate-income school children through daily classes, cultural outings, and recreational activities. At-risk youth participate in the program by becoming teachers' aides and attending youth leadership workshops. |
|
The After-School Tutorial Program provides homework tutoring and recreational activities for children in grades 1-6.
