| Description |
A multi-service senior center. Provides a variety of social, recreational and health services for seniors. Arranges appointments for health insurance counseling and Social Security/Medicare assistance. Sells senior discount Muni passes. Annual income tax assistance and blood pressure screenings are also available. Recreational and social activities include: t'ai chi, yoga, strengthening exercises, qigong, rowing, photography group, line dancing, painting, creative writing, ceramics, dressmaking, discussion group, computer classes, and movies. Hearing Resource Center offers counseling, education, support group and recreational activities to hearing impaired seniors on Thursdays. The Literacy Project is one on one instruction. Open to seniors who want to improve their reading and writing or English as a second language skills. Welcomes new tutors who can commit 1 to 2 hours per week. |

60 years of age or older. Volunteers may be any age. |

Voluntary annual membership is $30 per person, $50 per couple. $1.50 suggested donation for lunch. There is a fee for some activities. |

Walk in to apply. All participants need to have a card on file. The front office is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. |
