| Description |
Recruits home care workers and operates the Central Registry Service which matches home care workers with private pay and In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) consumers. On-call personal care workers are also available in the evening and weekend for critical situations. Also provides mentors and support services to IHSS consumers. Participates with other community agencies, labor and consumer groups in planning and advocating to improve the in-home care service system. Facilitates the availability of training for home care workers and consumers. Speakers are available to discuss In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). Person authorized for IHSS, or private pay client in need of home care worker referrals. Home care workers must pass screening to be listed on registry. |

All services are free to IHSS consumers. Registry services available to private pay clients on a sliding scale fee. |
