Description A statewide consumer utility advocacy group which represents residential and small business customers of gas, electric and telephone utilities in rate proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Pursues class action litigation on utility-related issues. Provides assistance to consumers who have complaints about gas, electric and telephone utilities. Provides related information to the media. Sponsors related public outreach, consumer education programs and a speakers bureau. Publishes a quarterly newsletter, "Turning Points."
Formerly known as Toward Utility Rate Normalization.
Fee Membership contribution ranges from $20 -$35 but is not required.
