Acts as a resource for information about housing for artists and facilities for art organizations in the Bay Area. Maintains a Web site with information about available art space for rent or share. Listings include live/work, studio, rehearsal or performance spaces for artists and art organizations. Provides technical assistance and consultation to arts organizations and artists. Assists with locating and developing spaces, zoning and building code requirements, lease negotiations, and organizational planning. Provides referrals to and information on government agencies, private consultants, and real estate professionals. |

Provides technical assistance to architects, property owners, government agencies, real estate professionals, and developers. Assists with building code requirements, project design, financial issues, feasibility studies, artists' space requirements, and market rental rates. Offers workshops on facility projects, development of live/work spaces, and other related topics. Advocates for increased facilities for artists and arts organizations, including advocating and providing information on the conversion of former military facilities into spaces for the arts. |
