Description Provides a variety of services to Central Americans, any other Latino or anyone who is seeking services. Legal services include education in immigration, citizenship, asylum and other immigration issues. Tax-Aid (415-281-1600) provides free annual federal income tax preparation assistance. The Celina Ramos Clinic offers a free evening preventive health care clinic. Health services include: health screenings and referrals. The Second Chance Tattoo Removal Program provides tattoo removal to individuals 12-24 years of age, with gang-related tattoos. The Family Services assists families in accessing community services. The Family Empowerment offers monthly workshops related to the school system, educational and recreational field trips, ESL and driving classes for parents that have at least one child under 12 years old. The School Readiness Initiative assists children 5 years old and younger and their parents with entering kindergarten.
Eligibility Must meet income guidelines; immigrant from Central American or another Latino country.
Fee Varies with service; based on ability to pay.
Application Call for an intake appointment. Legal and dental services are available on a drop-in basis. First-time clients are encouraged to make an appointment.
Waiting Period Expedited legal services are available in situations involving U.S. immigration deadlines.
