Description A local chapter of a national organization which provides a variety of supportive services to ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's Disease) patients, their families, friends, and caregivers. Services include information about ALS (including printed materials), referrals to specialized ALS services, support groups, public education, equipment loans and financial assistance which provides respite care for eligible caregivers. Maintains a collection of ALS related books, articles, and videos. Funds related ALS research. Volunteer opportunities are available. Publishes a quarterly newsletter, "Connections."

Fee Free for services; deposit required for equipment loan.
