| Description |
Provides emotional support for parents, grandparents, and adult siblings of a child that has died. Provides a free information package with brochures and other printed information on bereavement and coping with the loss of a child. Provides referrals to community services. Sponsors a support group that meets in San Francisco on the second Wednesday of the month, 7:30 p.m., in the Community Room of the Taraval Police Station, 2345 24th Avenue (near Taraval Street). Call 415-457-3123 for more information. Publishes the "Compassionate Friends Newsletter," every other month. The newsletter is available to anyone who calls and requests to be added to the mailing list. |
