Description Works to promote a sense of responsibility and mutual respect throughout the greater Haight Ashbury; to preserve the character of its architecture; support the police department in law enforcement efforts; to encourage neighborhood-serving businesses; to defend the conservation of Golden Gate Park and Sutro Forest for recreational use; and be constructively involved in San Francisco's governmental process. CVIA coordinates the daily cleaning of Cole Valley's commercial corridor, produces the annual Cole Valley Fair and publishes a 12-page quarterly newsletter, CVIA News. The Board of Directors meets monthly with an annual general membership meeting every fall. For more information, contact this organization through e-mail or the mail.
