| Description |
Provides planning, coordination and funding of social services for seniors in San Francisco. Services are contracted out to numerous community organizations which offer information and referral, housing, in-home assistance and meals, health care, nursing home ombudsmen, transportation, legal assistance, consumer advocacy, congregate nutrition, and social and recreational activities. Coordinates services for seniors provided by other City and County agencies. Publishes the annual "Area Plan," a document containing the overall plan for social services to senior citizens in San Francisco. |
