Description Provides vocational counseling and evaluation, and job training and placement to people with disabilities. Offers resume development and instruction for interview techniques. Post employment services assist clients in working with their employers in order to remove obstacles in the work place. Arranges for medical or psychiatric evaluations. Provides assistive devices and adaptive equipment to overcome or otherwise reduce the disability. Provides transportation while in training and for job searching. Provides financial assistance for higher education including tuition, fees and books. Provides reader, interpreter (American Sign Language) and note taker services. Offers independent living skills instruction.
Eligibility Anyone with a physical or mental disability that poses an impedement to employment.
Fee Most services are free. If this office arranges for services requiring fees, those fees may be covered by other benefits or based on ability to pay.
Application Walk in, apply by phone or attend an orientation 1:30 p.m., Tuesday or Thursday and 8:30 a.m., Wednesday.
