| Description |
Provides diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children and adults with hearing and speech or language disorders. Offers hearing aid consultation and dispensing, speech and language therapy, a speech pathology clinic, a preschool program for hearing impaired children from infancy through grade two, and oral education classes for deaf children. Also offers evaluation, consultation, and a support group for persons with tinnitus. Formerly known as San Francisco Hearing and Speech Center. The Hearing Society for the Bay Area merged with the Center. |

Varies according to service; no one is refused service due to inability to pay. Medi-Cal, Medicare and private insurance accepted. Pre-authorization is required for counties outside of San Francisco for Medi-Cal. |
